We went to Liverpool on Boxing Day for a family get-together. On the following day, we called on the off chance at the house of Rita, a friend of Norma's who had phoned a week or two ago after a gap of over 30 years!
She was out when we called but her son told us that she had gone shopping and we finally tracked her down in a shopping centre.
We shared a hot chocolate and reminisced for a pleasant hour or so.
